Prison

This is another arena loosely referencing the setting from the OG Painkiller — the Prison level. We wanted to capture a few key elements, such as the cell exit and the guard tower overlooking the arena. Our interpretation is a blood-soaked prison with a large blood pool in the center of the arena. As for the level’s overall form, I was heavily inspired by arenas from retro shooters like Quake. The arena features sharp angles and simple shapes. It includes side rooms that are accessible depending on the randomly selected objective for the arena. Environment art was done by Eryk Kossakowski.
